DON’T BLAME ANGE, BLAME LIES WITH THIS INCOMPETENT BOARDROOM!

celtsmedia

Another European disaster last night but just like ever year or to be precise the last 4 years this isn’t a freakish outcome, this is becoming a regular occurrence at the start of every season where Celtic are disorganised and so mis-managed to the extent we end up killing our Champions League campaign before it’s even started.

But who’s surprised? It’s fair to say Dominic McKay has been a slow starter in his new role as CEO and yes the quarantine of Starfelt and Furuhashi hasn’t helped but do we really feel that two signings would strengthen this inexperienced and lacking of talent squad as shown last night?

This all stems back from the Eddie Howe mess which lasted 3 months for us only to be told that he had other ideas.

3 months of planning? Out of the window.

There are so many questions that need to be posed to McKay and co in the boardroom. Let’s start with the one big question that everyone is bemused with: why is the process of signing players taking so long?

It is clear as day that we need a competent goalkeeper - Bain and Barkas ain’t good enough to be number 1. We’re linked with Joe Hart... it doesn’t matter if it’s Kevin Hart or Melissa Hart in goals in Czech Republic next Thursday as long as it’s not Barkas or Bain!

We finished with a back 4 of Montgomery, Welsh, Murray and Ralston. That’s a back 4 you’d see in a CelticB game these days not a Champions League 2nd round qualifier. I don’t blame these inexperienced players, Murray, Welsh and Ralston put in really good performances last night but we need more quality!

We’ve not even spoken about the fact that we need another striker and a defensive midfield player. The fact of the matter is Ange needs at least 6 or 7 more signings in order to be competitive this season.

He admitted last night that “obviously I haven’t done a good enough job convincing people we need to bring people in.” He shouldn’t have had to tell the boardroom that after what we saw last season.

The league campaign starts on Saturday and will we have enough to secure 3 points at Tynecastle? Only time will tell.

After all of this, Ange is not to blame, it’s the people above him. It can’t get worse or can it?
