ANGE HAS TURNED A CORNER... ITS TIME FOR CELTIC TO PUT THE FOOT DOWN!

celtsmedia

At the end of the last international break Celtic had just came off the back of an unsatisfactory 1-1 draw with Dundee United leaving Celtic 6 points behind Rangers. At the end of this international break we will be 4 points behind and we are now in a much better position.

The period in the season that just past us was crucial, in our most recent article on 27th September we outlined that Ange had to start getting results and that’s exactly what we done!

In the month of October, we went to Pittodrie, Firpark and Easter Road (a place where we hadn’t won in the league for 7 years) and got 9 points. A major milestone for Ange was the two wins against Ferencvaros securing some sort of European football after Christmas whether that be Europa League or Europa Conference League.

We went from going to Pittodrie having not won an away game since Valentines Day to have now won the last 5 in all completions scoring 14 goals including some scintillating attacking displays from Jota and Kyogo.

With the disruption that’s going on at Rangers, with the departure of Gerrard and his backroom staff, it’s time for Celtic to really put the foot down post international break and into December.

Rangers need to go to Easter Road, Tynecastle, Pittodrie and Celtic Park all within around a month in December. If we want to win the league, it’s crucial that when the next break comes round, Celtic are the ones in front and we take control in the league.

Ange described Gerrard’s departure as, “"You can't afford to be looking over your fence to what other people are doing. We've got to build our house, make it nice and beautiful and then see how it stacks up against the rest of the neighbourhood." This is our manager’s mentality and these comments should give us every bit of encouragement that the Aussie will deliver.

Win against St Johnstone in the League Cup semi-final in front of 40,000 Celts at Hampden and Ange can also look forward to his first final 6 days before Christmas.

Celtic are on the up, there’s a positive feeling around Celtic Park just now and it’s now imperative that when we return from this international break we continue our brilliant form and really put the foot down!
